Back to the future for environmentally friendly washrooms Fisher Services believes an updated version of a traditional washroom system can help addresses many companies environmental concerns. The new cotton towel cabinet service available from Fishers is the world’s first to be given the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 No19201 quality seal of approval which recognises ecologically sound products and environmentally friendly production techniques. Fisher Services believes the new service can address issues surrounding other drying techniques and help tackle the British Toilet Association’s concerns over the general decline of washroom standards. Fisher Services sales director, Tenant Hilditch, commented: “Paper towels can create hygiene problems in washrooms involving litter and they have a wider impact on issues such as deforestation. Air blowers have faced hygiene criticisms because they re-circulate air and just how do you dry your face properly with one? “We believe our cotton towel roller system is more ecologically friendly as its does not rely on wood pulp or unfiltered air. By going back to and improving on a more traditional method, we believe we have a solution that is more environmentally friendly for the future.” Cabinet roller towels are part of Fisher’s washroom range which is suitable for all types of commercial enterprises and local authority locations.
